Is Shorthand currently open during the Covid-19 health crisis?
Our store front is currently closed, but we are open online! We don't yet know when we will be able to re-open, but there's a good chance it won't be until Fall 2020, if at all this year. We are just as delighted about office supplies and greeting cards as we ever have been and are bringing in new delightful products all the time! Thanks for visiting our site and helping us navigate this wild time.
Are you still shipping orders in light of Covid-19?
We are currently shipping orders as quickly yet safely as we are able. We are still striving to get all orders in the mail within 1-2 business days, but there can be some delays. Once the package is handed off to the mail carrier, there are definitely delays to be expected as the USPS and other shipping services are inundated.
Can I order online and choose curb-side pick up?
Absolutely! Orders are typically ready to be picked up within about 15 minutes of being placed for orders made Monday thru Friday 10am to 4pm, or Saturdays 12pm to 5pm. Outside of those hours we will have your order picked and packed as soon as possible on the following business day. You will receive an order confirmation email and then shortly thereafter an email letting you know the order is ready for pick-up.
I saw a product on your website recently, but now I can't find it!
We do our best to keep our products in-stock at all times, but there will be times when products are temporarily unavailable. Check back to see if the item has become available again, or send us an email if you would like a notification when it is back in stock.
I am part of the Card Enthusiasts Club. Can my online greeting card purchases count towards my free card?
Absolutely! During checkout, add a note letting us know you are part of the Card Enthusiasts Club and we will stamp your card appropriately. Please note: your free card is only redeemable in store.

You are welcome to make your purchase online and then pick-up from our store in Highland Park, Los Angeles. You may also specify expedited shipping and we will do our best to ensure the products are mailed as quickly as possible.
I placed an order a while ago and my order has not arrived yet. Where is it?
We do our best to ship orders as quickly and efficiently as possible. If it is taking longer for your order to arrive than you think it should, please contact us with your order number and we will do our best to help figure out where your order is and when you can expect to receive it.
